Rob started racing in the early 90s as a mountain biker. Over the years he’s raced successfully in mountain bike cross country and downhill, road racing, time trials, cyclo-cross and duathlon disciplines, and currently carves a path in solo 12 and 24 mountain bike races. At one point or another he has stood on the podium at all the major mountain bike enduro events in this country (and quite a few overseas). In 2005 he won an age group World title at the 24 Hours of Adrenalin World Solo Championships, which was held in Whistler, Canada. Rob is a fully qualified skills instructor and mountain bike guide, and has been coaching in various disciplines and teaching off-road skills since the mid 90s. His favourite training topic is bike position and set-up, and the way this influences riding style, biomechanical efficiency and rider ability.
